A three-day international art festival in the People's House on Siglufjörður
INTOO is an international festival of creative people that is held in the People's House on Siglufjörður, but the cultural work of the People's House won the Eyrarrósina 2023. The festival is attended by a diverse group of artists from far and wide, with an open mind and a sincere desire to be influenced by each other and by local people. On such a date, artistic magic is created.
The directors of INTOO are Aðalheiður S. Eysteinsdóttir (IS) and Will Owen (US), but they have worked together on exhibition projects in Denmark and Iceland in collaboration with the Aros art museum in Aarhus and local people in each place. The INTO festival was first held in Assedrup in 2023, and it is planned that the 2025 festival will take place in New York.
Siglufjörður will be buzzing with creativity throughout the festival days, but the program includes art exhibitions, performances, outdoor artworks, concerts and poetry readings. The events take place both in the People's House and across the town, inside and outside. Admission to all events is free.
